Point A Edinburgh Opens its Doors

It’s been a busy few months for everyone behind the scenes here at Point A Hotels; along with the refurbishment of our Liverpool Street hotel we’ve also been working on two brand new openings. One of these new hotels is in a completely new city for us. We’ll be opening in our second Scottish city, with the addition of Point A Edinburgh. The hotel is opening its doors for the first time on July 8th 2019, just in time for Edinburgh Fringe Festival and rooms are available to book now on this site. We’re incredibly excited to start getting to know the wonderful people of Edinburgh and to help many more people explore the UK’s most visited city outside of London.

The budget boutique hotel, situated in the heart of the city near Haymarket Station, is perfectly positioned to use as a base for tourists and business travellers alike. There are 149 rooms, including 8 accessible rooms, either in our well-known ‘Cosy’ range or our new ‘Comfy’ offering, featuring luxury Hypnos beds with fabric headboards and throws from the Isle of Bute, power showers, mood lighting and a 43-inch Samsung Smart TV. For the first time in one of our hotels we’ll also be adding Google Chromecast to our televisions, which allows customers to watch their own content while staying in our hotel. There is free superfast WiFi available throughout both public areas and the guest rooms. Our ‘Comfy with view’ rooms also have breath-taking views of Edinburgh’s famous historic architecture.

Our Edinburgh hotel has a spacious reception and lounge area, hosted 24-hours a day. The lounge area will also be home to Point A’s signature Brekkie each morning, with a selection of hot drinks, juices, cereals and pastries available for guests. This area will also have an extended food and beverage offering - pre-mixed alcoholic drinks and miniatures will be available at the bar, while the hot food menu available in the lounge will feature favourites like pizza and chicken wings.

If you want to eat out and explore Edinburgh’s exciting food scene, members of our A-list will be able to take advantage of special deals on offer with our A-List partners including Hawksmoor restaurant or get a trim at Barbarossa Barber, with more to be confirmed. Check back on our blog soon for our advice on where to eat in Edinburgh as well as other things to see and do around the city.
