For those who fancy a bit of extra space, Point A Edinburgh offers our new spacious ‘Comfy’ rooms, and for those who want an unbeatable view, we also have the ‘Comfy with view' rooms.
Everyone knows breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Our buffet breakfast is currently unavailable but we will be offering a Brekkie Bag that will be available to order for £5 at reception. The Brekkie Bag will include a yoghurt pot, banana, croissant and orange juice carton. It also includes tea or coffee that will be made to order and collected at the breakfast bar. The Brekkie Bag will be available for collection at the breakfast bar from 06:30 to 10:30 Monday to Friday and 07:00 to 11:00 on weekends and bank holidays. There are also a range of grab-and-go snacks and hot drink selections on offer from the hotel lobby throughout the day (and night).

The closest car park to our Point A Edinburgh Haymarket Hotel is The NCP Car Park Edinburgh Castle Terrace, EH1 2EW. The parking rate for hotel guests is £14.00 per 24 hours (Normal rate is £30). Please ask for a ticket from reception to receive your discount.

Shopping and Markets
With our hotel located on a bustling road lined with shops, you don't have to look too far for some retail therapy. Just a short walk from our hotel, we recommend visiting Prince's and George Streets which are home to luxury brands and everyday stores alike. There are plenty of shopping centres too, check out Waverly Mall, Ocean Terminal and Multrees Walk. For the best of everything local, head over to Stockbridge market, Edinburgh Farmer's Market, Pitt Market and Greater Grassmarket.
Tourist Attractions
• Edinburgh's best sightseeing spots are all a short walk, cycle, bus or tram ride from our hotel. If you don't mind a walk check out the famous Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street Gardens. Travel a little further on wheels and you'll discover the historic Palace of Holyroodhouse, St Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh Old town and the Real Mary King's Close.
• Want to catch a bird's eye view of Edinburgh, we recommend visiting Arthur's Seat. This extinct volcano may take a little while to reach using public transport but it's definitely a must on any visit to Edinburgh.
• If you're an art and culture lover, then a visit to the National Museum of Scotland and the National Gallery of Scotland are both excellent options awaken your creative side.
• The Royal Yacht Britannia is also a popular site, once used to welcome heads of state and famous people, this royal yacht is the centerpiece of the Britannia Visitor Centre. A bit off the beaten track but worth the visit for royal fans.
• Don't have time to go on a whisky tour of Scotland? The Scotch Whisky Experience is the place to go for in-house whisky tours and tastings, as well as a whisky school. Best of all, it's only a 15 minute walk from our hotel.
Eat & Drink
Just a 5 minute walk from our hotel, Wildwood restaurant is the perfect place if you are after a delicious, hearty meal. With plenty of options including Italian, European, Vegetarian and Vegan, you'll be spoilt for choice. Also within 5 minutes walking is the cosy Nepalese restaurant called The Khukuri. Enjoy authentic Nepalese cuisine with good portions at reasonable prices.
Think Edinburgh is just about whisky? Think again. The Edinburgh Gin Distillery celebrates Edinburgh's historic gin heritage with an equisite cocktail list, including the rhubarb and ginger gin with yuzu tonic. If you love gin, then we also recommend visiting the Jolly Botanist. With Victorian styled interiors and chilled out vibes, this local favourite is sure to impress.
